The Dachshunds have replaced their drummer, Greg, with a new person..I forgot his name. But I'll get it next time I see him. I'm working on the Dachshunds page now, and if I finish tonight you'll notice the lack of a name, picture, or information for the person I have temporarily dubbed New Guy.

Oh man, so much to tell you..

First of all, I spent last weekend at my stepmom's mom's house, with my dad and stepmom, my stepmom's mom, and my stepmom's sister and her three young children. Oh, and my dog. Umm, it was alright. I spent most of the time alone in my temporary room practicing bassoon. I had to go to their church on Sunday, that kinda sucked. But it wasn't as bad as the one I usually have to go to.

I changed my living arrangements. Now it's two weeks at my mom's and one at my stepmom's. That's one less week at my stepmom's. This is a good thing.

Speaking of my stepmom, she and my dad are planning to adopt a Chinese baby girl! Now normally I wouldn't like having to live with a baby, but I think this is pretty cool..it's gonna be a lot easier with the new living arrangements. That, and the procedure takes a long time, so by the time the baby arrives, I'll be like, 17. Then I'll only have to endure a year, then I'm off to college.

If you didn't already know, I'm asking for a web server for Christmas. I've already got some ideas as to the name, but I'm still very open to any suggestions you may have. Got any? E-mail me.

..and yeah, I'm still working on redesigning DaveLand. Get off my back!

Oh yeah, those pictures from the last Kevin visit came out. Well, not really. The camera had no flash, so the film essentially had nothing on it, except for the outside pictures, which came out dark anyway. Oh well. I wasn't expecting the pictures to come out. Maybe next visit they'll be better.

Well my day was going good 'till sixth period. There was a nation-wide Pledge of Allegiance. Yup. Every student in the nation, theoretically, said the Pledge of Allegiance at the same time. Isn't that horrible? Can you imagine so many children, whether they know it or not (and unfortunately most don't), declaring their loyalty to this nation that fights terrorism with war, death, and violence, and then flaunts its power by sending rations and medical supplies to its victims!? We're a bigheaded super-ego, not a savior! When are we going to realize that?

Umm, I just got a new computer. I wasn't expecting it at all. Jesus. My mom and stepdad just knocked on my door while I was playing guitar and singing and pushed my new computer in in boxes and said "Merry Christmas." I was like, "what!?" Um, so now I have this awesome new computer that came from nowhere. It's gonna take forever to transfer all my old crap from my old computer to this one. Oh well. Man, today needs to make up its mind. First we have the "America Under Attack" deal, and now I get a new computer. Jesus.

Man oh man. Everyone's going crazy. Today at school we did no work in most of my classes and we just sat there and watched CNN all day. After the planes hit the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, everyone started freaking out. Which is to be expected, sure, but I think some people are just a little too paranoid about all of this. And it's alright to be afraid, but people are letting it ruin their lives right now. Calm down. This kinda thing does make you think, though. What you see is exactly what humanity is like now.

Hello again. Well, my Kevin visit is over. Tomorrow at 7:00 PM he'll be back at Tarheel Challenge. Poor guy. But hey, he's doing good. He's even got better rhythm from all the cadences. Good deal. Methinks he'll return to The Dachshunds after he graduates in December. Things are really looking good. In other news, today I had to go with my dad and stepmom to have dinner with my stepmom's sister and her husband and three small children, for the birthday of the smallest. It was alright, but not my idea of fun. No school tomorrow so I can celebrate a holiday that praises work by being lazy. God, I love Labor Day.

Hey hey, how's it going? I'm still working hard on DaveLand 2.0, but it's mostly done. I think it's going swimmingly. Anyway, it's 2 AM and I need sleep, so I'll work some more tomorrow. Hey, check this out..I found a new way to post updates on my site. Blogger.com. Makes it a whole lot easier. So um, if you have a website (or if you don't and you want a weblog anyway) you should check it out. It's kinda fun. Alright, that's enough of my shameless plug. So I'll tell you what's new. I quit marching band. I do feel a little bad that I took away what I could have contributed, but I just don't think I can handle marching band. Not my area, I guess. I'll stick with concert band. Nothing much else happening. I got two weeks of nothing to do, then school starts again. I'm just sitting around the house listening to music, vegetating, and playing guitar. That's about it.
